Happy Pi Day! A day like this makes my inner math nerd proud. Why be proud of reccognizing a mathematical constant with a day? Because. (someone told me that people respond positively to arguments using the word because. Did it work? I didn't use just because, because that would be too much like something your parents said).
For those of you who are really dedicated, you can celebrate Pi Minute at 1:59. AM or PM? Yes. Time zone? Yours. Why not? And, don't neglect Pi Second at 1:59:26.
Aside from math, I have been knitting a bit. I finished the scarf made from the Kakishibu dyed 8/2 Silk I got at Madrona last month.
Here it is in its unblocked state. The Tangerine Tango Shawl is also finished and unblocked. I have a bit of a space issue around here. Kay moved out and Roger immediately started demoing her room (now called The Study). It now has insulation, new sheetrock, new doors and windows, plus chair and picture moldings! It still needs the be painted and plastered and cleaned up. In the meanwhile, Tactile product has been kicked out of the garage (parked in the dining area) to make room for construction. Long story short, I am lacking flat horizontal space. Sigh. It is all for good. (I have tried saying that and clicking my heels three times - it hasn't helped).
If you are wondering what 8/2 silk means. This article might help. It is a system which defines the yardage and number of plies in a given yarn. In the US it is usually referred to as yarn size. Handy stuff.
Mmmmm, pie. Make mine lemon meringue :-)

Happy Pi Day to you, too!
Kay moved out -- this is big news! Happy news, I hope? Since she is a grad and all . . .
