I just read about the button man in the paper today. How I wish I had known of this treasure when he was alive. I will have to make a point to visit. Buttons are wonderful!

What a sweet story. I can't imagine what it must be like to bury your husband after 65 years of marriage. But Mary seems so strong.

Will you be stocking up on buttons then?

Janice

Wow... a button man. Wish I could visit the store! How hard it must be for his wife!

Sorry to hear about the button man. So sad to lose someone. I think it is wonderful that he was appreciated for what he did.

Oh how sad!!!
Next time you are planning on going, can I paypal you some funds to pick me up a bit of the history?

Becca

I hope his wife manages OK without him. I still have a couple of cards of buttons I bought there a few years ago. Maybe I'll stop by next weekend to pay my respects.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of the Button Man. I wish that I could take over the button store. I've always loved buttons.

Thank you for letting us know of the death of the button man. I have fond memories of visiting the store but also of having frissons of excitement as I drove up, only to find it closed! He didn't exactly keep "regular" hours!

Wow, I love buttons! Is there any way to spread the button man's mission to the rest of the international community? There is nothing like that one off vintage button. My stash, from my granmother's cousin who worked in a haberdasher's, is diminishing fast! Help the button magic live on.
