The socks look great! It's always a pleasure to see a patterned sock knit with variegated yarn when the pattern and the colours live together as happily as yours.

You might want to look at Judy Gibson's You're Putting Me On sock pattern -- it's a "plug in your own numbers" type, toe up with gusset.

Mmmmm wensleydale socks ! I love them too, they take any amount of wearing & always finish the wash looking just as fantastic as the day they came off the dpns, they dont half wear cables a treat either !

Ooh, pretty pretty!

I agree whole-heartedly re: gussets, but have never taken a crack at toe up socks (as much as I love the idea of trying them on as you go). One of these days I'm going to have to try 'em.

Oh that egg dish sounds fantastic.

No tortillas? That never happens in our house...

I love the beautiful socks, especially the pinkish sort of lace ribbing. Would you mind sharing the name of this pattern? I have been looking for just such a pattern. Also, your blog is very nice. I intend to add you to my bloglines!
