« Back to 2007 Knitting
Yarn: 350+ yards of fingering weight handspun (about 4 ounces)
Needle: US size 1 double pointed needles
Pattern: My own.
Completed: January 24, 2007.
I bought the Blue-faced Leicester roving from Spunky Eclectic on an impulse. I don't remember why I decided to spin it as sock yarn, but I knew I didn't want it to barber pole. I decided to spin it very fine and Navajo ply it to maintain the color stripes.
Like the Strange Days socks, I tried to force a pattern stitch by
swatching a zillion pattern stitches before deciding on a simple stockinette sock. For more on this sock, read this, this, and this.
