Well, that's what I'm calling them at least.
It stared with a grab bag of fiber from Left Hand Pinkie.
To get as much twist as I like for socks, I spun the singles twice. It is time consuming, but it really pays off in the feel and durability of the finished yarn.
The pattern stitch is from my head. It is quite simple. I'm sure someone else has thought it up before. Once I get past the heel, I'll add the Chevron pattern all around the leg.
I am calling them Free Socks. I am not sure yet if they are "crazy fun" or "crazy, we have a nice white jacket for you". The bigger they get, the better they look. The first few inches looked pretty grim. Olive, followed by pink and purple? Woof!
This is an experiment I may not repeat (this randomly at least), but it is fun to throw out the rules once in a while.
