I am a bad pal to have waited so long to show off the bag my One Skein upstream pal, Dorene, sent to me a mumble mumble month ago mumble mumble. It was such a wonderful surprise. I am always delighted by the thoughtful gifts I get in these secret pal exchanges. I literally gasped when I opened it. (And, I do mean literally, not the figurative literally so often bandied about these days.)
Here is a close-up of the embellishment. She said it is an angel to keep watch over me. How sweet is that. I need some watching. I absolutely adore this bag. It has become my small-traveling-project bag. Henry's blanket frequented it and now a scarf is hanging out. Thank you so much Dorene!
Speaking of Dorene, check out this post about her recent trip to Honduras. She is a nurse and went there on a medical mission. I am grateful for people that give of themselves like this.
In WIP news, I have started another blankie. This one is for my new cousin Eion (pronounced like Ian). I am using the chart from Henry's blanket only with stripes and in a worsted weight. It is made with Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece, completely ignoring the 20% wool in there, and assuming that it can be machine washable. We shall see if I am a fool or not.
Lastly, a water lily from the pond. It was so pretty I had to capture it. They won't last much longer.

Hi Maia--I found you! Thank you so much for my amazing package of presents--you spoiled me rotten!!!
